Kaitlin & Christopher | Married in Fort McMurray, Alberta

FILED IN: Wedding

Kaitlin was the type of bride that had everything organized weeks ahead of time, schedules laid out and a clear vision of how the day will go.  By the wedding day she was ready to relax and take it all in.
While Events with Vizability worked their magic in the ballroom downstairs, decorating the room with pretty fall leaves, we were upstairs in the honeymoon suite where Kaitlin and her girls got ready for the day.  There was no shortage of laughter, smiles and mimosas where Fatima worked on their hair and makeup, and Kaitlin had all of the details neatly laid out and ready.
A bride who is extremely schedule conscience AND a relaxed, go-with-the-flow-type is rare.  Not that there is a preference for either, I have learned to adapt, feel out the limitations of each of my brides and help make the day go as smooth as possible…the way the bride imagined it would be.  When it came to the schedule, we were ahead by a mile.  When I asked “Hey, how do you feel about going for a little hike in your dress?”, Kaitlin replied that she bought the dress to wear it!  With 3 full hours set aside for formal photos, we filled it with a little bit of adventure, some quiet moments and Chris’ version of whispering in Kaitlin’s ear – talk of his craving for the salmon we would be having that evening!
Chris was not disappointed during the dinner, the salmon had lived up to his expectations. The food was amazing, the speeches were kept casual and funny, and the room was full of nothing but love and excitement for these two.  On day where rain (a lot of rain!) was in the forecast and we got the sun instead, it was indeed a day that was meant to be!
