After the ceremony, and after formal photos with their wonderful families, there were just the three of us. I was getting into position when I saw Jon, out of the corner of my eye, put his hand under Brittney’s chin and ever so gently pull her face to his for a kiss. It was beautiful. I asked him to do it again, but he couldn’t hear me. Brittney said “kiss me the way you always kiss me”.
Ummmm…wow, what can I say?
I absolutely believe that that’s the way he always kisses her, and you would too if you saw (in real life and real time) the way he looked at her throughout the ceremony, the way he held her during the formal photography part of the day and how he tells the story of wanting so bad to make her his wife that the first time he proposed he used a keychain ring. It has since been replaced with a beautiful diamond, but could be found hanging on her bracelet as they said their vows to one another.
This, my friends is real life, real love. Amazing. Brittney and Jon, I am so happy to have met you and your families, and to have witnessed this beautiful day.
