I always write a “Year in Review” blog post on December 31, and could easily do it again this year, telling you all about the special couples and families that I met this year  – and yes, they definitely were special and amazing, and I’m so happy to have had the opportunity to meet and work with each and every one of them.

This was a different year though, wasn’t it?  I’ve shared my evacuation story dozens of times with friends and lots of strangers over the last 7 months.  That bond of having gone through something together, as community, brought us all closer than ever before.  It’s amazing the time we all gave each other to listen to the stories, to care deeply for our neighbours, and to help each other when uncertainty was the only thing that was certain.

This year though as we reflect on the hardest year our community has ever had to face, I just wanted to share one photo that sums up Fort McMurray during these times.  I hope that we all go into 2017 strong and ready to take on whatever comes our way; I hope we continue to make time for our neighbours, to listen and lend a helping hand to those in need; and I hope we all continue to support those who are still rebuilding their homes and lives.  We know we can handle anything, when we do it together.

Happy new year, Fort McMurray.  Cheers to a great 2017!

Hi, I'm Chrystal (she/her) and I'm so happy you're here!

If you're looking to feast your eyes on couples in love, raw emotion and vibrant scenes, you've come to the right place.

I'm an Edmonton wedding photographer for couples madly in love, and those who love to laugh right from their hearts (and bellies).  Over the past 10 years I've been very lucky to photograph weddings of all kinds and sizes including Christian, Sikh, Hindu, Muslim, Fijian, Chinese weddings and all sorts of fusions.  I've photographed teeny tiny elopements to grand celebrations, LGBTQ+ weddings and inter-racial weddings, as well as destination weddings in places like Mexico, Dominican Republic, Cuba, Las Vegas, Canmore, Banff, and Newfoundland - in addition to the beautiful Edmonton weddings and Fort McMurray weddings I've had the privilege to be a part of.

I would love to here more about you.  LET'S CONNECT!
