It was -25 degrees celsius outside with the wind on this day, but that didn’t stop Rhea and Bhav from braving the cold to enjoy the day together. We met up for their engagement session on a Sunday, Rhea’s least favourite day of the week, but it was all made better after some frolicking at the Ice Castles, cuddles at Zocalo (the delicious latte helped, too!) and dancing at the Alberta Legislature grounds.
I met these two at the Bridal Fantasy Fall show last year, along dozens of other brides, grooms and couples, and was interviewed for my job many times by many wonderful people…brides and grooms, sisters, brothers, friends, maids of honour, moms, grandmas, you name it! And, I loved it! I believe that creativity, collaboration and great work – no matter where or what your work is – comes from enjoying what you do, and genuinely caring for and trusting those you work with. Taking the time to get to know who will be working with on your wedding day is very important! These two and I had this exact conversation during their consultation and engagement session. Bhav said it best “we are going to be spending a lot of time together, so we better like each other”.
I sure do like these two. They are funny, fun, and so warm and kind to each other. What’s not to like?
Thank you both for a fun Sunday, and for smiling and laughing despite the cold winter winds! Also, a huge thanks to Zocalo for allowing us use of their colourful, happy space!
How to stay warm during a winter photo session? Dancing and running, of course!
We still have a few dates available for the 2018 wedding season, and would love to chat with you about your plans!
