Sheena describes her and Michael as outdoors people so they were absolutely sure about holding an outdoor ceremony. Another thing they were sure about was that after 7 years engaged August 18 would be their day. And, what a beautiful day it was for an outdoor wedding!
Sheena and Michael met through mutual friends in 2006. She says they “just clicked”. It was like they had known each other for years from the moment they met. She laughed at how cheesy that might sound but I believe it’s possible. And, I definitely believe it to be true for these two! They are still madly in love after 12 years and 2 kids together. That’s my kind of love story!
The location they chose to make it official is my favourite for wedding ceremonies. Helen Pacholko Park has this amazing, beautiful tree that gives the most perfect backdrop and some shade for couples and their guests. This park is definitely a Fort McMurray gem. And, Sheena’s eye for decor and her simplistic style is exactly what was needed to make the most it. In fact, the entire day was imagined and brought to life by her!
Sheena and Michael, thank you so much for trusting me with this important day in your lives. I truly enjoyed spending the day with you, your three kids and your families!
I hope you enjoy this video of highlights from Sheena and Michael’s day!
