Once upon a time in Sherwood Park, I witnessed a fairy tale come to life. It was actually quite recently. But, we are going with a theme here. Stick with me.
This story begins with a house full of beautiful maidens getting their hair and makeup done while 90’s alternative rock played in the background. Leah broke away from the group briefly to read Nick’s letter aloud in her soft, gentle voice. She cried happy tears.
Meanwhile, our groom and friends were riding their horses through the forests. Just kidding! They were playing pool at a Sherwood Park pub. It was a super casual and relaxed morning for these guys.
Leah was a beauty in her princess dress, but Nick was no beast. He was looking sharp as he stood in the garden at Greenland Garden Centre. And as his bride made her way through the garden, he was bursting with joy. The ceremony was a combination of beautiful tender moments and some absolutely hilarious, laugh-right-from-your-belly moments. It all ended with Pastor Levi Penner quoting The Little Mermaid “Go on and kiss the girl” in Sebastien’s voice. This drew an excited cheer from our Disney loving bride.
We left Sherwood Park for the reception in Beaumaris. Where the room was Disney inspired throughout. And, we were met by Alpacas dressed in bow ties and tiaras! My life is complete.
Nick & Leah: Thank you so much for having us. You two are an absolute joy to be around. I hope you sing and dance together exactly like this everyday for the rest of your lives.
